Dr. Claire Kappa is a distinguished internal medicine physician with extensive experience in delivering personalized healthcare. Board-certified since 2015, Dr. Kappa's impressive academic journey began at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in classical studies and a minor in nutrition. She subsequently earned her Doctor of Medicine from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, graduating magna cum laude and gaining induction into the junior Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.

Dr. Kappa completed her internal medicine residency at Duke University in Durham, NC, where she participated in the Ambulatory Care Leadership Track and served as an assistant chief resident at Duke Regional Hospital. Following her residency, she practiced at Duke Primary Care Pickett Road, where she both cared for patients and precepted internal medicine resident clinics.

In 2017, Dr. Kappa relocated to Cincinnati and joined Mercy Health's Amberley Primary Care. There, she continued her commitment to medical education by precepting medical students from the University of Cincinnati while providing excellent patient care.

Dr. Kappa specializes in chronic disease management, including diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, with a strong focus on preventive medicine.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Kappa enjoys spending time with her husband, an Ob/Gyn, and their three children. She is an avid sports enthusiast, supporting LSU football/basketball/baseball, Duke basketball, the Bengals, and the Reds. Her personal interests include reading and cooking Cajun-inspired cuisine.

Dr. Kappa has brought her expertise to CMOC's new Kenwood location, continuing her dedication to providing exceptional, individualized care. She is accepting concierge patients and is serving the healthcare needs of the community in her new role.
